Adam Thomas has been flooded with praise for what fans have called a 'gorgeous' move after he admitted to being surprised by the turnout when he asked his social media followers to meet him at a local Asda.
The Manchester-born actor recently announced that his hot sauce brand, Oh My Glaze, was preparing for a relaunch. The company was originally developed by Adam and his close friend Scott Graham.
Having previously had a pop-up stall at Manchester's Trafford Centre, Adam revealed that Oh My Glaze was back with new flavours, and alongside Robyn McManus, they were ready to launch in-store.
One of the first places to stock the newly relaunched sauces has been Asda, and to mark the occasion, Adam put a shoutout on social media. He wanted people to meet him at a specific branch of the supermarket, and if they picked up a bottle of Oh My Glaze, he would pay for their shopping.
Sharing the results of his plan on Instagram, Adam wrote alongside a video: 'I woke up and decided I wanted to do something kind for someone. So, with less than an hour's notice, I put a post out asking people to meet me at Asda for the chance to win a big food shop. The only rule? Buy a bottle of @ohmyglaze and shout OH MY GLAZE! Simple as that. Hahaha.'
He continued: 'Honestly, I didn't think many people would turn up… Not only did Jess turn up, loads of other people did too! It was an absolute pleasure treating Jess to a big shop, and spending time with such a lovely person made my day. A massive thank you to Jess and to everyone who came down and supported us.'
'Moments like these remind me that Oh My Glaze is about so much more than sauce. I'm thinking about doing this more often… What do you think? #mybrand,' and the comments quickly came flooding in.
