Adam Sandler was lambasted by fans for wearing sweatpants and a hoodie to his wife's film premiere on Tuesday. The comedian accompanied his wife Jackie to the world premiere of the upcoming Netflix film Office Romance, where she stars alongside Jennifer Lopez.
But though Jackie arrived at the event, held at The Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, dressed to the nines in a shimmering black mini dress and heels, Sandler opted for his signature laid-back look. The Uncut Gems star and his wife looked like they were attending two completely different functions, with Sandler wearing a bright orange Knicks hoodie and blue joggers, prompting fans to complain that he 'couldn’t be bothered to change out of his sweats.'
He completed the garish ensemble with green sneakers featuring purple shoelaces. 'So he really couldn't put on a dress shirt and some slacks? Goofy,' one fan wrote, while another slammed the display as 'embarrassing.'
'I feel like it's one thing when he's promoting or doing his own projects but for his wife's work you think he could throw on some khakis and a golf shirt at least lol,' someone else chimed in.
