Adam Peaty's Mother Speaks Out on Wedding Feud with Gordon Ramsay's Family

Caroline Peaty, the mother of Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, has spoken publicly about a family rift ahead of his wedding to Holly Ramsay, daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. The 59-year-old, from Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, said she was not invited to the hen do and has been banned from the marriage ceremony at Bath Abbey on December 27.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Mrs Peaty expressed her heartbreak, saying: 'I know it’s the end. But please, the message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point.' She added that she hopes for a long and happy marriage for the couple.

The family feud escalated when Adam Peaty, 30, returned from his stag do in Budapest on Sunday and was met by five police officers at Manchester Airport amid fears he might be assaulted. It is alleged he received threatening messages from his brother, builder James Peaty, 34, who was arrested on suspicion of harassment on Tuesday and later released on conditional bail.

Mrs Peaty said she has barely seen her grandson George, five, and reached a low point after seeing photos of Holly Ramsay's hen party on Instagram, attended by Victoria Beckham at Soho Farmhouse. She said: 'I was crying all the way home. I got home and told Mark that for the first time in my life, I felt I didn’t want to live.'

She claimed her son is 'in Gordon’s clutches' and that the Ramsay family is 'very insular'. She said she will send a card and a 'decent present' but hopes for a reconciliation. The Ramsay family have been approached for comment.
