Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty are reportedly embroiled in a family feud that has led to the Olympic swimmer's mother being uninvited from their upcoming wedding. The couple, who have been dating for over two years, are set to marry at Bath Abbey at Christmas.
Tensions escalated when Holly failed to invite Caroline Peaty, 59, to her hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds. Sources claim the issues 'go deeper' than the hen do invitation. Adam's brother James, 34, was arrested on suspicion of harassment after allegedly sending threats to the swimmer during his stag do in Budapest.
Adam was met by police at Manchester Airport on Sunday after receiving a threat that he would be met off the plane. A Staffordshire Police spokesperson confirmed a 34-year-old man from Uttoxeter was arrested on 11 November and released on conditional bail.
Adam's aunt Louise Williams publicly criticised Holly for excluding Caroline from the hen do, describing it as 'hurtful and divisive'. She noted that Adam had invited his future father-in-law Gordon Ramsay to his stag night, while Holly invited her own mother and sisters but not Caroline.
The couple have reportedly fallen out with Adam's mother, and Gordon Ramsay is said to have intervened with his 'no-nonsense' attitude. The feud is believed to have begun when Adam started dating Holly.
