Adam Peaty Withdraws from US Event Amid Family Feud and Safety Threats
Adam Peaty pulls out of US event over family feud threats

Olympic swimming champion Adam Peaty has cancelled his appearance at a major US event, citing an ongoing family dispute and alleged threats to his personal safety.

Airport Incident and Event Cancellation

The triple gold medallist was met by police officers upon his return to Manchester Airport from his stag weekend in Hungary on Sunday, 9 November. This followed serious concerns for his welfare after he reportedly received threatening communications.

As a direct consequence, Peaty has withdrawn from a scheduled two-day training clinic in Orlando, Florida, which was set to take place on 15-16 November. The event was being organised through his company, AP Race, which he founded in 2019 to provide coaching clinics internationally.

Deepening Family Rift

The cancellation comes amidst an increasingly public and bitter feud within Peaty's family. Tensions reportedly escalated after his mother, Caroline Peaty, was not invited to the hen party of his fiancée, Holly Ramsay.

Caroline's sister subsequently used social media to accuse Ramsay of being "divisive and hurtful," which is understood to have deeply offended the couple. In a drastic move, Adam and Holly then made the decision to ban Caroline from their upcoming wedding in December.

Expressing her devastation on Instagram, Caroline Peaty posted: "Crying is a way your eyes speak when your mouth can't explain how broken your heart is." She was spotted in public for the first time since the drama unfolded, with an onlooker noting she "didn’t look happy."

Threats and Safety Concerns

A source close to the situation revealed to The Sun that the issues extend far beyond wedding invitations. "Things escalated over the weekend when someone became increasingly abusive and threatening over text," the source stated. "Adam was trying to enjoy his stag do and was getting freaked out by it all."

Despite Peaty's personal withdrawal, a source confirmed that "his team will still be delivering a first class clinic" in the US. The AP Race website continues to list his appearances in Florida and Canada later this month, though insiders confirm he will remain in the UK.

AP Race was contacted for official comment regarding the situation.
