Olympic champion swimmer Adam Peaty has said expecting a baby with his wife Holly Ramsay-Peaty has pushed him to "grow up". The 31-year-old and Holly, 26, who is the daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, announced they are expecting their first child together last month. The couple married in a lavish wedding at Bath Abbey in December.
Fatherhood and Family
Peaty is already father to a five-year-old son from a previous relationship with artist Eirianedd Munro. Speaking to BBC Breakfast, he said: "2026 has already been one of those years. Our wedding was one of the best days of my life. Watching Holly walk down the aisle, it's a view that I'll never ever forget. It's almost like I've got a snapshot in my brain, and the music in the church was just incredible."
Of his famous father-in-law, he added: "Having Gordon as my father-in-law is an incredible blessing. I'm also expecting a baby little girl. Well, I'm incredibly excited. For me, that role of being a father has been just incredible. To have another human in this world that loves and cherishes you, I think it's the biggest blessing. My love for them isn't going to be judged by a medal, and obviously with Holly going through pregnancy, all I can pray for is her happiness and health, as well as the baby. And for me, that does push me even more to, I guess, grow up."
Swimming Career
Peaty is set to contest his fourth Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer as part of the England team. He is one of Britain's most successful swimmers, with six Olympic medals across four Games, including three golds. He reportedly met his wife through her sister Tilly when the two took part in BBC dancing programme Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.
