Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty has broken his silence following his wedding to Holly Ramsay, daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, amid reports of a family rift. The 30-year-old, who now goes by the name Adam Ramsay Peaty, took to social media to thank Jesus for 'everything' as 2025 drew to a close.
Peaty's wedding at Bath Abbey was attended by his sister Bethany but not his parents, Caroline and Mark, or other relatives, who were uninvited. His aunt Louise sent a scathing text message criticising the couple, which Peaty did not receive as he had blocked his family. Caroline Peaty said she felt as though her heart had been 'cut out' by the snub.
During the reception, Gordon Ramsay reportedly made remarks targeting the Peaty family in his father-of-the-bride speech, telling his daughter: 'Shame you don't have the same' when referring to his own wife. Peaty's speech praised his swimming coach as 'like a mum' but made no mention of his own family.
A source claimed the Ramsays had 'wanted Adam's family gone' and had succeeded in isolating him. Caroline Peaty previously expressed fears that her son was being pulled away by his new in-laws, describing their family as 'very insular'.
