Former Love Island star Adam Collard has revealed how becoming a new dad has transformed his outlook on life—and given him the drive to push through the brutal challenges of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
The 28-year-old fitness trainer, who first rose to fame on the hit ITV2 dating show in 2018, recently welcomed his first child with girlfriend Tilly. Now, he’s opening up about how fatherhood has fuelled his determination to prove himself on the gruelling military-style reality series.
From Reality Romance to Real-Life Challenges
Collard, known for his confident persona on Love Island, admitted that the mental and physical demands of Celebrity SAS were unlike anything he’d faced before. "Becoming a dad changes everything," he said. "I wanted to show my child that no matter how tough things get, you can push through."
The show, which puts celebrities through extreme endurance tests modelled on the UK Special Forces selection process, has already seen Collard battle freezing conditions, sleep deprivation, and punishing physical tasks.
A New Kind of Motivation
Unlike his time in the Love Island villa, where drama and romance took centre stage, Collard says his focus on Celebrity SAS was entirely different. "This wasn’t about fame or relationships—it was about digging deep and proving something to myself," he explained.
Fans of the show have praised his resilience, with many noting how fatherhood seems to have matured the once-controversial reality star. "I’ve got a little person depending on me now," Collard added. "That’s the biggest motivation of all."
With the series airing this month, viewers will soon see just how far Collard is willing to go—both for his family and his own personal growth.
