Abbey Clancy Told Peter Crouch He Wasn't Allowed at Birth

Abbey Clancy has revealed she told husband Peter Crouch he was not allowed at the birth of their son Jack after a huge row, leaving for hospital alone. The model opened up about the dramatic episode on their Therapy Crouch podcast, joined by her longtime friend Liberty.

Row Before Birth

Abbey explained that she and the former England footballer had fallen out when she was about to give birth. She said: "I left for the hospital on my own. So I left the house and said, 'You are not coming.' So I was like, 'Pete's not coming.'" She then recalled telling her husband: "You're not allowed to be at this birth, you're not even coming."

With tensions running high, Abbey asked Liberty to accompany her instead. Liberty remembered being placed in the middle of the couple's disagreement, describing herself as the "mediator". Despite the row, she revealed that she and Peter, 45, ended up heading off for some food while Abbey was in hospital. Abbey, 40, recalled: "So then, Liv came with me." Liberty added that she and Peter went to Nando's, explaining: "So me and Peter went off and had a right good Nando's. Rather than eating it in Nando's and being nice, we just brought it back."

A Quick Birth

Abbey eventually softened and allowed Peter into the delivery room. She said: "So then I was like, 'Lib, I need you to be my birth partner. I'll allow Pete to be in the room.'" Liberty admitted she briefly stepped away after believing she had helped settle the couple's dispute, only to miss the birth. "I know. Yeah, I did. Missed it," she said.

The birth of Jack was apparently particularly speedy, with Abbey recalling how a doctor told her to push before their son arrived almost immediately afterwards. Abbey said: "The doctor said, 'Right, you've got a contraction, I want you to push.' So I pushed and he went, 'You're gonna have to do better than that.' So the next, so I laughed, and then he just came out." Liberty joked: "It was like having a small poo."

Marriage and Family Life

Abbey, who was born and raised in Liverpool, met Peter when he was playing for the Reds. The couple have been married since 2011 and are now parents to four children. Alongside Jack, they share daughters Sophia and Liberty and their youngest son Johnny. The couple have regularly opened up about their marriage on Therapy Crouch, often poking fun at their disagreements and differences.

The latest revelation comes after Peter recently joked that he had drawn "a line" when discussing trying new things in marriage. Reading a listener's saucy dilemma on the podcast, Peter said: "I think you've got to be trysexual. Yeah, try anything once." Abbey challenged him, replying: "Okay, if you want to try everything, then bend over", leaving the pair laughing. Peter later clarified that there were limits, saying: "Well, yeah, you're allowed to have boundaries. No, I don't think try everything. Certain things I don't wanna try." Abbey then delivered another blunt response, asking: "What about f**k off?", prompting more laughter from the couple.
