Abbey Clancy has playfully threatened to leave husband Peter Crouch after spotting what she described as 'red flags' – including his habit of dining alone at tapas restaurants and taking up swimming. The 40-year-old model made the remarks on their joint podcast, The Therapy Crouch, where the couple candidly discuss their marriage.
The pair first met at a Liverpool bar in 2006 and married at Stapleford Park in Leicestershire, later renewing their vows during a sunset ceremony in the Maldives in 2023. They are parents to daughters Liberty and Sophia, and sons Johnny and Jack.
In the latest episode, Peter, 44, revealed he had visited a tapas restaurant alone between recording his own podcast, That Peter Crouch Podcast. 'I went for tapas yesterday on my own,' he said. Abbey fired back: 'Who the f**k are you? I've got no idea who you are. You're on Snapchat, you're going swimming, you're going to tapas on your own ... I'm actually going to dump you.'
The former England striker dismissed the Snapchat claim, explaining he ate alone because the restaurant was near his recording studio and he is on a strict eating plan. 'I'm trying to look as good as I can for Abbey,' he said. Abbey interjected: 'Another red flag for an affair.' She later admitted she had also visited the same tapas spot alone.
The conversation was prompted by a listener who asked about going to the cinema solo. Peter defended the practice, saying it is 'not a social experience,' but Abbey concluded: 'I'm a wuss on my own, I don't do anything alone.'
