Abbey Clancy shocked her husband Peter Crouch when she suggested she would be interested in a fifth baby. The Liverpool-born ex-model and former footballer already share four children - Sophia Ruby, 15, Liberty Rose, 11, Johnny, eight, and seven-year-old Jack.
But Abbey, who turned 40 earlier this year, pointed to the examples of some women older than her who have recently had children, including actress Sienna Miller and her sister, reports the Daily Mirror.
Podcast Revelation
Speaking on an episode of The Therapy Crouch podcast, she said: "There's so many older women have babies now, and I'd love a newborn." Looking somewhat taken aback, Peter responded: "Would you really?" Abbey continued: "Sienna Miller's sister's pregnant, she's like 47. Sienna Miller, just had a baby (at the age of 44)." The ex-Liverpool star, 45, then joked: "Fair play. Are they on second marriages?"
Former England international footballer Peter has previously said their family won't be expanding as having four kids "was a ridiculous decision".
Reunion After World Cup
Abbey and Peter recently reunited after the former England international spent some time working for FOX Sports at the recent World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. In a previous episode of The Therapy Crouch, Peter admitted "we can bicker" as the couple opened up on long-distance relationships.
He said: "I'll tell you why it doesn't work for us. It's because we love each other and we spend a lot of time together, and we have fun together. So, where we are apart - I resonate with this - I resonate with the fact that yeah, the little arguments and that; we can bicker. But with regards to long-distance relationships, I totally get it."
After a period of looking after the kids by herself, Abbey flew out with the children to watch the World Cup final in New York.
Airport Incident
But their reunion wasn't without complications, as one of their children nearly faced arrest at the airport over a gun-related remark. Following their arrival in the Big Apple, eldest daughter Sophia made a comment about a gun being connected to her fingerprints. It drew the attention of border force officials at the arrivals hall, who aren't known for their sense of humour.
Abbey told the podcast: "Those immigration officers are not fun. You cannot crack a joke with them. Sophia renewed her passport since she last visited the US, and she had to do her fingerprints. Sophia was like 'Why do I have to do fingerprints? Is that in case there are fingerprints on the gun?' They were like 'Sorry Miss, what did you say? What fingerprints on the gun?' and then she was like 'There's guns here and you could have my fingerprints...' and they were like 'What? your fingerprints are on a gun?'" The mum-of-four continued: "I was like 'No, my daughter is not saying her fingerprints are on a gun', she's saying 'Is that how you catch criminals, if fingerprints are on a gun?'"
Abbey Clancy: Celebrity Homes airs tonight (Friday, July 24) from 7.30pm to 8pm on ITV.
