A guest on A Place in the Sun was moved to tears after finding their ideal holiday home in Spain's Costa del Sol. Siblings Michael and Catherine were searching for a shared retreat during a repeat episode broadcast on Thursday, 11 June.
Emotional Discovery
The pair enlisted the help of expert Jean Johansson to find a property they could share, maintaining their strong bond despite living in different cities—Michael in Cork and Catherine in Chester. With a budget of £175,000, it was the final property on their list that captivated them.
Overwhelming Views
The three-bedroom apartment with a roof terrace in Puerto La Duquesa left Catherine emotional before even entering. She told Jean: "It feels right. It feels brilliant. I'm tingling all over. I feel quite emotional, I just want to get in and see the property." Battling tears, she added: "You're going to make me cry on telly!"
Michael exclaimed: "I'm speechless!" Catherine continued: "I'm in pieces, I'm gone. I'm not normally emotional." Jean confessed: "Oh, don't you'll start me off, you really will."

The property was at the top of their budget but offered everything they wanted. The siblings made an immediate offer. Jean noted: "That is brilliant!
