Glenn Medeiros, the 1980s teen pop sensation known for hits like 'Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You', has resurfaced in TikTok videos with his daughter, Lyric Medeiros, decades after leaving the music industry. The 55-year-old former singer now works in education, holding a PhD and serving as President of Saint Louis School in Honolulu.
Medeiros rose to fame at age 16 after winning a local radio talent competition in Hawaii. His cover of George Benson's song became a national hit, leading to six albums and collaborations such as 'She Ain't Worth It' with Bobby Brown. He left the music business in the mid-1990s to pursue teaching, previously working as a Vice Principal at Maryknoll High School.
In recent years, Medeiros has appeared in TikTok videos with his daughter Lyric, an aspiring singer and law student with over 640,000 followers. The duo's duets, including a 2022 performance of his first hit, have garnered millions of views. Fans have praised his unchanged voice, with comments like 'Wow, his voice has not changed at all!'
Medeiros has been married to his wife Tammy since 1996, and they have two children: son Chord and daughter Lyric. Lyric appeared on season 21 of American Idol, describing it as a 'full circle' moment reflecting her father's early career. Despite his shift to education, Medeiros continues to write music in his spare time, calling his music career 'a true blessing'.
