Wayne Rooney has shown off a noticeably slimmer look, prompting praise from social media users. The former Manchester United star, now a regular pundit on BBC football coverage, was part of the team covering the recent World Cup. He also appears on Match of the Day and works for Amazon Prime's Champions League coverage.
Social Media Praise and New Photos
Social media user @LewVisualss shared two photos of Rooney - one from the 2024 Legends of Football awards and another from the recent premiere of The Real Rooneys. The ex-England skipper is noticeably slimmer in the more recent photo, boasting a healthy glow.
The photos came ahead of the release of the behind-the-scenes documentary about his family life, with Wayne starring alongside partner Coleen in the Disney+ series.
Denial of Weight-Loss Jabs
Speaking to the Daily Mail ahead of the release, Rooney denied suggestions he's taken any form of weight-loss jabs. He remarked: "Apparently I've seen recently I've been taking this pen thing about me. It's a shame, because I'm working really hard to lose weight. Apparently I've been on the pen."
Nose Job and Marriage Revelations
However, he did admit to having gone under the knife to have a nose job. Coleen said: "I thought you were gonna say then, my nose wasn't a cosmetic job, it was a medical job! I tried to get him to do it because of his snoring."
Rooney broke his nose while playing football in the United States, and said: "I couldn't blow one side out of my nose and so I had it fixed."
The pair also lifted the lid on their relationship, with Coleen even admitting to having had doubts about the marriage. She remarked: "There are times where I think 'Is the answer to see what it's like if we were separated?'. But we still care for each other; we still have good times. You know, we still love each other."
