Natalie Harp, an aide to United States President Donald Trump, was seen wearing a £350 designer dress just hours after Trump praised her as “perfect” during a trip to Nebraska.
Dress spotted on Air Force One
After flying home on Air Force One, Harp was seen wearing a Cinq à Sept Catalina sleeveless twisted midi shirt dress, which retails at around £350. The dress is currently out of stock.
According to the official description, the dress “features a twisted gathering at the waist. This midi dress has a spread collar, button-front placket, sleeveless design, and a yoked back. It has a curved hem, straight silhouette, and a side seam zipper. The dress is made from a polyester/elastane blend with a polyester lining. It measures approximately 46.5 inches in length from the shoulder. The dress is dry clean only and made in Japan.”
Praise during Nebraska speech
During the trip, Trump paused a speech to call Harp on stage and said: “She reminds me of The Price Is Right. Thank you, Natalie, come on! This perfect person comes on, hands it, walks off. We should go on television with this show, right?”
Harp's primary duty reportedly involves trailing the 80-year-old president with a portable printer, a laptop, and a battery pack to ensure he is constantly fed a comforting diet of uplifting news articles, flattering social media posts, and positive polling data. She recently revealed in an interview that she works around the clock, claiming she operates at the "speed of Trump" to take care of his needs and maintain his morale.
Online mockery and allegations
Her constant proximity to the demanding politician has subjected her to online mockery, including humiliating nicknames such as the "nappy nurse," a moniker born from internet conspiracies regarding Trump's personal hygiene. The rumours were fuelled by sightings of her carrying a massive rucksack, creating a stark contrast with her public image.
The dynamic between the pair drew attention after a recent public exchange, in which a photograph captured Trump appearing to dress down his aide, pointing sharply downwards while looking stern. Despite the interaction, Harp maintained a fixed, beaming smile.
Online critics have accused her of having a "maladaptive attachment" to the former president and allegedly using artificial intelligence to edit herself into an old photograph of Trump with Chinese President Xi Jinping, replacing Chief of Protocol Monica Crowley in the image. Reports have also circulated regarding intense letters she supposedly wrote to Trump, which reportedly alarmed the Secret Service.
A survivor of bone cancer, Harp credits Trump's "Right to Try" healthcare legislation with saving her life, forging a deep-seated attachment that keeps her by his side on the campaign trail.
