Tom Holland set to earn $100m from Spider-Man hit

Tom Holland is on course to make $100 million (£74m) from his latest movie hit, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The 30-year-old was reportedly paid a base salary of $20 million up front to play the webslinger for a fourth time, but that is expected to multiply five times thanks to bonuses attached to the superhero film's huge box office success, which recently passed the $2 billion mark in just 19 days.

Bonuses tied to box office success

An insider told Variety that “he will make at least” $100 million, referring to the huge takings the film has made. Tom, who also enjoyed a decent payday for his role in The Odyssey, is now one of the top earners in Hollywood and just one of a few names capable of putting bums on seats.

Zendaya's earning power

However, his earning power might pale into insignificance compared to his other half Zendaya. She regularly commands eight-figure salaries for leading roles and reportedly earned $10 million each for her work in Challengers and Dune: Part Two. That has since gone up, and coupled with her various commercial tie-ins, she is worth more than $40 million.

However, personal wealth is not where Zendaya's power lies - she is the biggest draw when it comes to the box office. The US star has appeared in a number of mega hits, but 2026 has catapulted her star into new territory. Like rumoured hubby Tom, she starred in the latest Spider-Man movie as well as Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, and those two combined have made almost $3.5 billion at the global box office so far.

Future projects and box office potential

By the end of the year, Zendaya is likely to be out on her own as Dune Part 3 arrives in cinemas in December, with hopes for another billion-dollar success. That could comfortably make her a $4 billion film star, possibly even $5 billion if her summer hits continue.

Of course Tom won't take this lying down, and he's heavily rumoured to feature in the new Avengers film, which also arrives at Christmas. It doesn't stop there - Zendaya is also attached to voice a character in the animated sequel Shrek 5 in 2027, while Tom is making three biggies: a Fred Astaire biopic, John Grisham drama The Partner, plus American Speed alongside Austin Butler. Needless to say, the Christmas dinner should be on these two come the end of the year.
