Take That have officially become record breakers after their spectacular homecoming show at Manchester's Etihad Stadium was streamed live across the world via Amazon Music on Saturday night. The trio, consisting of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald, rebooted their Circus Live Tour for a new run of stadium gigs across the UK and Ireland this summer, but it was their return to Manchester that proved historic.
Record-Breaking Livestream
Amazon Music announced that The Circus livestream has become the most watched UK live-streamed performance to date, based on the total number of hours watched by viewers across the weekend. The performance streamed exclusively on Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Twitch on Saturday night, with a replay loop available on Sunday.
A Take That spokesperson said: "This record-breaking broadcast reinforces the love for the band in the UK, and their epic live shows, with the tour continuing in London this week, before one further date in Manchester and the final stop in Dublin."
Spectacular Show
Fans at the stadium and on the stream watched the band deliver a masterclass in showmanship, wowing audiences for over two hours with a huge live production. The show included a cast of 40 dancers, acrobats, firebreathers, stilt walkers, and the famous 30ft tall mechanical elephant. Highlights included an emotional Howard Donald in tears after his performance of "Never Forget," a giant Ringmaster puppet for "Relight My Fire," and a stunning firework finale as the band sang "Rule The World."
Fans Call for DVD Release
Following the livestream, Take That fans are issuing the same call: to have the show either replayed on Amazon or made available as a DVD. Many are hailing it as the "greatest Take That show ever." The last Circus tour in 2009 saw a DVD release filmed live at Wembley Stadium. Take That's team has been asked about a potential DVD or download from this tour and are awaiting a reply.
Upcoming Shows
Take That's The Circus Tour is the latest live concert broadcast by Amazon Music in 2026, following events like Primavera Sound Barcelona and Stagecoach Festival. The band is now preparing for London shows at London Stadium on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week, amid heat warnings of a potential 41°C in the capital. They will then return to Manchester for a fourth show at the Etihad Stadium on July 1.
