Lacey Turner has been left with sore feet and blisters just days before her live Strictly Come Dancing debut this weekend. The EastEnders star appeared on her dance partner Vito Coppola's Instagram, where he gave fans a look inside their rehearsals before the first live show on Saturday (September 26).
In a video, Vito told followers: "Hello, lovely people, of course I'm eating, and we've just done our lunch break and power nap, believe it or not." He panned the camera to a seemingly worn-out Lacey, adding: "And now, we're going to do a little more dancing, and we're getting ready for this weekend."
Blisters and Cuts From Dancing Shoes
In the next clip, the pair were doing butterfly stretches on the ground when the Italian pro said that the "dancing transformation has started," alongside a plaster emoji. Lacey was groaning in pain as Vito asked: "What's up with your blisters?"
He zoomed in on the soap star's bruised, cut and sore feet. Lacey pointed at a huge cut on her big toe, making Vito chuckle as he remarked: "Wow, nice," before sharing that it was caused by the "dancing shoes." The pro then asked, "What's at the back?", prompting Lacey to show the heels of her feet, which were rather red, bruised and blistered.
Vito's Promise of Payoff
Vito assured her: "Don't worry, it's going to pay off, it's going to pay off. All the pain is going to pay off, I can promise." Pointing the camera at the mirror, he added: "You're transforming yourself into a dancer," before cheering to the star.
Lacey has opened up about starring in the contest and shared: "I'm excited to learn something new and to be a part of this whole glittery shenanigan. But I am absolutely terrified and hoping that will go once I'm in the training room and I can get into it. I'm going to create a character that I can play on a Saturday night, as that's the only way I'll get out there, I think!"
No Public Elimination This Weekend
There is no public elimination this weekend but judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke will still be awarding the first set of scores. These will be carried over to week two, when viewers will have their first opportunity to vote for their favourites.
