The Southport Air Show has returned to the seaside town with incredible displays. The event took place on Saturday, August 29, featuring a variety of aerial displays and on-ground entertainment. The show will continue for its second and final day on Sunday, August 30.

Red Arrows headline the display

Attendees were treated to performances from The Starlings, Gazelle Squadron, and many more. As one of this year's highlights, the Red Arrows made their spectacular return, soaring through the skies above Southport.

On-ground attractions and activities

Visitors also had access to a number of activities, including bungee trampolines, bumper cars, and classic games like Hook a Duck. There was also the chance to get up close with replica planes and explore the Armed Forces' Military Village.

Visitors found a selection of stalls with military memorabilia and original artwork, treats, and children's toys. The ECHO was in attendance as hundreds of spectators filled Southport's coast, capturing photographs by David Munns.
