At the sold-out Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Shakira delivered a high-energy performance on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, blending hits from across her career. The show, one of the final North American dates, comes ahead of her headlining slot at the first-ever World Cup final half-time show alongside Madonna, BTS, and Coldplay.
The tour, which began in February 2025, has become the highest-grossing tour by a Latin artist, with $421.6 million in ticket sales as of January. It will conclude in October with 12 nights at Estadio Shakira in Madrid.
Setlist Highlights and Surprise Guest
Shakira opened with a CGI sequence evoking her 2005 "La Tortura" video before emerging on stage in a silver-sequined outfit. The set included a medley of "Empire" and "Inevitable," showcasing her rock roots, and a drum performance during "Can't Remember to Forget You." A surprise appearance by Wyclef Jean for "Hips Don't Lie" electrified the crowd.
The show also featured a salsa reimagining of "Chantaje" and a belly dance routine for "Ojos Así." Shakira acknowledged personal struggles in recent years, quoting author Isabel Allende: "Women alone are vulnerable, but together we are invincible."
Record-Breaking Success and World Cup Connection
Shakira is currently the sixth most-streamed artist globally. Her World Cup theme for 2026, "Dai Dai" featuring Burna Boy, topped the Billboard Global 200 and Spotify Daily Global Top Songs charts. She remains the first artist to reach number one on Spotify in both English and Spanish.
The encore featured an inflatable wolf and fake hundred-dollar bills with Shakira's face, celebrating her multifaceted career. The tour, titled after a lyric from her 2023 Bizarrap session that broke 14 Guinness World Records, underscores her enduring appeal.
