Raval, the highly rated Indian restaurant in Gateshead, has won Fine Dining Indian Restaurant of the Year at the Indian Restaurant Summit & Honours 2026. The award was presented at The Edwardian in Manchester on September 21, as part of Restaurant India's regional gathering of leading restaurateurs, chefs, hospitality entrepreneurs and industry figures.
Celebrity Favourite in a Prime Location
Situated at the end of the Tyne Bridge and just a few minutes' walk from top concert venue The Glasshouse, Raval is no stranger to famous faces. Many stars have dined there, including Spandau Ballet legend Tony Hadley and boyband stars Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden in recent years.
Raval's reputation speaks for itself, with the restaurant having won an array of different titles over time. Staff were over the moon to add this latest honour to the collection.
