Ordinary Boys star Preston is engaged to celebrity stylist Chloe Griffin, and his fiancee bears a striking resemblance to his famous ex, Chantelle Houghton. The 44-year-old singer, full name Samuel Preston, proposed to Griffin at Christmas, hiding the ring in a portion of fries.
Romance that began on Celebrity Big Brother
Preston famously struck up a romance with Chantelle Houghton, the only non-celebrity in the Celebrity Big Brother house, back in 2006. The pair embarked on a whirlwind relationship on the outside, becoming engaged in April and marrying in August, before splitting less than a year later in June 2007.
Nearly two decades on, Preston is engaged to Griffin, whose style and long blonde hair are reminiscent of Chantelle's CBB era. The couple met through work, when Griffin was drafted in to work on The Ordinary Boys' music video for 'Christmas Starts Tonight' with Olly Murs last year.

Griffin, a stylist and creative consultant, boasts 14,000 followers on Instagram and is followed by the likes of Frankie Bridge, Lottie Moss, Sophie Habboo, Louise Thompson and GK Barry. She frequently posts examples of her styling on stars such as Amelia Dimoldenberg and Anne Marie.
Chantelle's reflection and Preston's past
The engagement news comes just a month after Preston's ex Chantelle spoke about her romance with the singer on Paul Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, admitting they should have "never have marred". Chantelle, who shares 14-year-old daughter Dolly with ex Alex Reid, said: "We should never have got married, like it should have been what it was. But you know what, we were young, we were on this crazy ride of Big Brother."
"In real life we would never have met, he wouldn't have fancied me, I wouldn't have fancied him, we just weren't right. It was the most amicable divorce ever, the day I moved out of the house we hugged and said goodbye, there was no nastiness, no bitterness, no hate, no nothing. It was a very easy breakup."
Meanwhile, Preston recently spoke openly about his sobriety and working with Liam Payne to Matt Willis on his On The Mend podcast. In 2017, Preston nearly died in Denmark a day before he was due to attend a songwriting camp. He took a sleeping pill while drunk on free champagne and plummeted from a second floor balcony. He had been told he would never walk again and was in a wheelchair for six months. However, during recovery he became addicted to OxyContin.
"I got four different doctors to prescribe me the amount I was allowed," he told the Guardian in April. "I'm an idiot for doing that."
A year later, he went cold turkey and wrote 'Live Forever', detailing his sobriety journey and the fall. Speaking to Matt, he revealed he had had a friendship with Liam at the time and sent him the song, which he said had "resonated" with the One Direction star. Liam later released the song as a single. Liam tragically died after falling 46ft from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, 2024.
"The tragedy of that situation is just..." said Preston as he trailed off. "It crushed me. Still does." Convinced that he noticed "cries for help" from Liam, he continued: "100% [I saw parts of him in me]. That's why we connected. It's just such a tragedy."
