Tickets for the Oasis Live '27 tour went on sale this morning, with fans reporting a mix of experiences, including error messages and payment issues. Ticketmaster UK has said there have been no onsite issues this morning.
Ballot system and sale windows
Earlier this month, Liam and Noel Gallagher announced they would be heading back on the road next year for a string of gigs across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the United States. Kicking off in Glasgow on May 21, the tour will also include 11 dates in Manchester at the Etihad Stadium, plus six dates at Knebworth, which will conclude the tour later in September.
To try and get tickets, fans were required to sign up to a ballot system in advance, with successful applicants receiving a unique code to enter the ticket ordering process this weekend. From today until Sunday (September 27), there will be nine windows of opportunities for the UK dates, with fans instructed which of the three-daily periods they can try to secure tickets for. Fans have also been advised that they might not receive their code until Sunday.
Technical problems and unusual behaviour warnings
Some fans logging onto the Ticketmaster site, the only place where tickets are available, said they were met with a 'technical problem'. One fan, sharing a screenshot of the error message for one of the European shows, captioned it 'well this is going well'. The onsite message said: "We apologise, a technical problem is temporarily preventing us from processing your order. We encourage you to try again or log in later. Thank you for your understanding." Ticketmaster UK has confirmed this message is from an international Ticketmaster site.
Another fan, trying to get tickets for Paris, said they had queued up but then had to start again after payment issues. They commented: "Impossible to validate the payment several times. Forced to start over from zero in the queue. An explanation?" One person attempting to get a ticket for the Slane Castle shows in Ireland said they were met with a message saying 'your browsing activity has been paused', with the site reporting 'unusual behaviour on either your network or your browser'.
Ticketmaster's response and fan successes
Replying to one fan, Ticketmaster suggested updating their device's operating system and app, and uninstalling any VPNs being used. Ticketmaster has also told the Manchester Evening News this message is used to 'block bots so that real people can get tickets'. They have advised that if people see this message, they can try using another device or using a different internet connection. For the Glasgow shows, one fan shared a screenshot of a Ticketmaster message advising that their selected tickets had since become unavailable, adding they had 'lost the oasis ticket war 2 times in a row now'. Ticketmaster UK has said there are 'no issues with the sale at all' this morning.
Some other fans said they had an easy process for securing tickets and were successful. One, referring to the first Amsterdam gig, said: "Looks like it was pretty easy for those with codes to get Oasis tickets today. Hopefully, if you got a code yesterday you manage to get yours with ease too." Another said: "Oasis tickets secured. The war is over." One other posted: "Worked perfectly. Joined at 6:30, opened for tickets at 7. Was sorted by 7:05." One fan spoke of being able to get tickets for Manchester, writing on Reddit: "Very easy for manchester - one browser open for several dates, was 41 in one queue and almost immediately in another. Tuesday shows were fastest, not surprising." Another said: "I got a ticket for Manchester, june 22nd!!! 250 people ahead of me in the queue, took me less that two minutes."
