Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) is set to bid farewell to Weatherfield in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, with one of her final moments taking place in Seb Franklin's memorial garden.
Nina has been a regular on the ITV soap since 2019, featuring in major storylines including her relationship with Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey). However, her most powerful story involved the hate crime attack on her and boyfriend Seb in 2021, when they were targeted by a group of peers, including Corey Brent and Kelly Neelan, because of their alternative appearance.

In the spoiler clip, Nina listens to the song that was playing when Seb gifted her a ring. She is approached by Seb's mum, Abi Webster (Sally Carman), who apologises for missing Nina's send-off in the Rovers.
During the emotional exchange, Nina apologises to Abi for surviving the attack instead of Seb, a sentiment Abi quickly shuts down. As they comfort each other, Nina promises never to forget Seb, and after Abi leaves, she says a tearful goodbye.
Nina's departure and new role
Nina is set to leave Coronation Street for a new job at an art gallery in Whitby. Actress Mollie Gallagher said: 'It feels true to her character. It is a really positive move for Nina; there is no tragedy and she was able to go off happily to this new life.'
Gallagher added: 'She is sad to leave Roy and her friends but she knows it is the right thing to do.' In real life, Gallagher chose to leave the soap after landing the role of Clarice in the UK and Ireland tour of The Silence of the Lambs, a stage play based on the iconic movie.
