Netflix viewers are devastated after watching all episodes of a true crime documentary which landed on the streaming platform on Wednesday (August 26). The three-part series, Death of the Pastor's Wife, follows the tragic story of Mica Miller, 30, and has left audiences glued to their screens.
Critic's endorsement sparks binge-watching
TV critic Luke Eccleston, known as Eccy Reviews, often shares his recommendations on social media. In a TikTok post with his 462,000 followers, Luke named Death of the Pastor's Wife as a compelling watch on Netflix right now.
He began in the clip: "If you're looking for your next Netflix binge, this documentary right here is a must watch." Luke continued: "Now this is three episodes long and trust me, once you start it, you're gonna watch every single episode."
Story of Mica Miller
The documentary centres on a young girl who joins the Solid Rock Church and, as she grows older, develops a close relationship with pastor John-Paul Miller. As the story unfolds, the documentary reveals how the pastor begins an affair with the girl behind his wife's back – a revelation that, according to Luke, leaves everyone utterly "shocked".
While Netflix investigates the mysterious case which happened in North Carolina, US, it also includes interviews and text messages all leading up to what happened in 2024.

He continued: "The longer the relationship goes on, the more strange things begin to happen. She starts to have mental health issues, but people begin to realise that it is actually her husband. Now what happens next is genuinely shocking and I couldn't believe what happens and it is so emotionally devastating."
