Our weekly quiz, Name the Football Star, is back to brighten up your Monday back at work. Star Gold premium subscribers can put their football knowledge to the test by identifying famous players from the beautiful game.
The challenge is simple in theory: you must name the footballers based solely on their Wikipedia profile and senior career clubs. The only clues provided are the list of clubs, number of appearances, and goals scored — essentially the information found on the right-hand side of their Wikipedia page. You won't be given their nationality or position.
How the Quiz Works
This week's answers include a Dutch cult hero, a former BBC presenter, and a man perhaps better known for his tin-foil hat conspiracies than his wonder goals. To score all five points, simply type in the name of the player you believe it is. Watch out: any misspellings will result in a fail for that question.
Feeling generous, we'll accept either their full name or just their first or last name — whichever you can remember. And don't forget to challenge your mates and family to beat your score so they too can spend 10 minutes of their workday on the quiz.
