The winning numbers from Saturday's National Lottery Lotto draw and Thunderball draw have been announced. The Lotto draw offered a jackpot of £2m, while the Thunderball prize stood at £500,000.
The Lotto numbers were drawn at 8pm, with the Thunderball numbers announced shortly after. Players are reminded that there are now two rounds to the Lotto draw. Each line of numbers entered is played over two rounds, giving players two chances to win. This provides roughly a one in 4.9 chance of winning a prize in every draw.
Previous big winners
The biggest ever Lotto winner was created in April 2016 when an anonymous player banked £35m. In January 2016, two ticketholders each walked away with £33m. A single ticket won £26.4m on the New Year's Eve Lotto in 2016.
Before that, a main Lotto game jackpot of £42,008,610 was drawn in January 1996 and split between three anonymous winners, with each being awarded £14,002,870.
How the lottery funds are distributed
The UK National Lottery was first drawn on November 19, 1994. Half of all money spent by players goes to the prize fund, with 28% going to good causes, 12% to the UK Government as duty, 5% to retailers, and 5% to the operator.
