Katie Price Reveals New Money Woes Amid Husband Lee Andrews' £140k Prison Release Plea
Katie Price Faces £1,400 Parking Fines as Husband Seeks Prison Release

Katie Price has revealed she has had to pay off £1,400 in unpaid parking fines amid her husband Lee Andrews’ incarceration.

Andrews, who has faced accusations of being a conman, was arrested on reported fraud allegations last month and faces an apparent £140,000 charge to be released from Dubai Al-Awir Central Prison.

He has reportedly urged the former glamour model, 48, to set up a GoFundMe page to raise the eye-watering amount needed to release him.

Now, Price has admitted she has money issues of her own, as she had to pay off the staggering amount in unpaid parking fines.

“Parking tickets, £1,400 in parking tickets from when I was on tour with Kerry, Mersey Bridge, this and that. So I’ve paid that today,” she said on her The Katie Price Show podcast.

The TV personality said she was slapped with the fines while on tour with Kerry Katona from last September. They were left unpaid for about eight months, meaning additional charges likely stacked up and were added to the original amount.

The reality star received a six-month driving ban in April for failing to respond to police enquiries relating to a speeding offence. She has received bans totalling more than six years since she was first disqualified in 2010.

Earlier this week, it was reported the formerly-bankrupt star was willing to spend £6,500 to release Andrews from prison. However, she has since been told the sum is actually six figures because Andrews is reportedly involved in another case awaiting a court date, this time relating to property.

Andrews has apparently asked his wife to set up a fundraiser to raise the money for his release, to which Price said: “No-one will do that for you, Lee, trust me. Everyone hates you.”

She told The Sun she will “never” give him any money, having recently said she will end the marriage if he doesn’t give the answers she wants when they meet in person.

“I've made it clear to Lee, I will never give him money, I'll never give a man money, I've done it all my life, I've always been the breadwinner. My divorces, I'm the one that always has to give. I said to Lee I'll never do it,” she said.

Price, who married Andrews in January just days after meeting him, also maintained that Andrews will be released from prison “next week”. “He is coming out, I can't wait to see him, can't wait to have our chats, and he should be out next week, but knowing that, knowing what prisons are like even in England, you never know,” she claimed.

Andrews’ ex Dina Taji, who was with him for three and a half years, previously accused him of taking out a £200,000 mortgage in her name without her knowledge shortly after they married — something he denies.

She reportedly took legal action against Andrews, leading to him spending three weeks in a Dubai jail and being hit with a travel ban. Two of his other exes have branded him a “liar” and urged Price to never give him any money.

Andrews was detained for a “private civil matter” last month but insisted to Price that he was kidnapped on suspicion of espionage. He had been set to fly to the UK to do a joint interview with Price on Good Morning Britain but failed to show up and could not be contacted.

The TV star and Andrews’ family launched an international appeal to find him after he went missing for two weeks, with Price later revealing he was “alive and well” at Dubai’s Al Awir Central Prison.

He told Price he had been “bundled into a van” with his hands tied at the Dubai border and taken to a so-called “black site” while attempting to fly to London.

After he was located behind bars, Price said Andrews had been shocked to discover he had become “the most hated man in prison” as his disappearance sparked widespread speculation online. He is thought to have finally told Price he has a travel ban in UAE last week after months of denying the claims.

The reality star said she “really believed” Andrews was trying to fly to the UK and insisted she is not “stupid” and is fully aware of the conman allegations.

Price added that she doesn’t feel she’ll be scammed by him as she is “protected by the nation” and said she is ready to be “done” with him for good if she doesn't get the answers she wants when they finally meet in person.
