Greggs brings back 'unreal' discontinued item fans mourned for 7 years

Greggs has confirmed the return of its Steak & Stilton Bake, a discontinued item fans have been requesting for seven years. The pastry will be available from Thursday, September 3, as part of the chain's autumn menu launch.

Return of a 'legendary item'

The Steak & Stilton Bake, discontinued in 2019, contains diced beef in rich gravy with blue Stilton cheese and grilled onions in a flaky puff pastry. It will cost £2.50, though prices may vary slightly by location.

Speaking to Metro, the bakery confirmed the new items will remain on sale until the Christmas menu launch, though that date has not yet been announced.

The Buffalo Pizza Slice (from £2.70) is available in two-, four-, or six-slice boxes (from £5.75, £8.95, and £10.95 respectively) and is a focaccia-style pizza topped with cheese, pizza sauce, buffalo-style chicken mayonnaise, and red onion.

The Chicken & Pepperoni Toastie (from £3.80) includes chicken in a pizza-style sauce. The Bonfire Toffee Muffin (from £1.65) is also new this autumn.
