Former Welsh Rugby Union chief executive Roger Lewis has been recognised in the King's Birthday Honours list after being awarded an MBE.
Lewis, who led the WRU between 2006 and 2015, has been honoured for his voluntary services to service personnel and veterans through his role as chairman of the Churchill Lines Foundation.
The former WRU chief was one of a number of prominent Welsh sporting figures recognised in this year's honours list, which also included Wales football great Cliff Jones and Cardiff City director Steve Borley.
Lewis spent almost a decade at the helm of Welsh rugby and oversaw a period that included four Six Nations titles, three Grand Slams and the development of the national side into one of the world's leading teams.
Since leaving the WRU, he has remained heavily involved in charitable and voluntary work, particularly in supporting current and former members of the armed forces.
Also honoured was Newport-born Tom Hooper, who has been appointed an MBE for services to education. Hooper is the Bristol Metropolitan head of sport.
Wales football legend Cliff Jones receives MBE
Former Wales and Tottenham Hotspur star Cliff Jones has also been made an MBE for services to Welsh football.
Now 91, Jones remains one of the greatest players in Welsh football history.
The winger scored 16 goals in 59 appearances for Wales and was a key member of the side that reached the quarter-finals of the 1958 World Cup before eventually losing to Brazil, inspired by a teenage Pelé.
At club level, Jones was part of the iconic Tottenham team that won the League and FA Cup double in 1961 before helping Spurs become the first British club to win a European trophy when they defeated Atletico Madrid in the 1963 European Cup Winners' Cup final.
He also lifted the FA Cup again in 1962 and 1967 and is widely regarded as one of Tottenham's greatest-ever players.
Reacting to the honour, Jones wrote on social media: "Proud and humbled to receive this MBE. It was an honour to me to represent my beloved Wales and pull on the red dragon shirt. I share this with all my teammates and my wonderful wife Joan and family."
Current Wales captain Ben Davies paid tribute to Jones, describing him as one of the game's true greats.
"It is fantastic Cliff Jones is being recognised for his incredible contribution to both club and international football," said Davies. "He is recognised as one of the true greats of the game at both Swansea and Tottenham and of course with Wales. To have him present me with my 100th cap was an absolute honour."
Cardiff City director receives OBE
Elsewhere, Cardiff City director Steve Borley has been appointed an OBE for services to the Welsh economy across engineering, construction and sports participation.
Borley has been a long-standing figure in Welsh business and sport and has played a prominent role at Cardiff City in recent decades.
The honours list therefore provided recognition for figures who have made major contributions across Welsh rugby, football, education, business and charitable work.
