Former tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has wowed fans with a series of stunning snaps on social media. The 32-year-old ace is entering a new phase of her professional life after choosing to hang up her racket last year. The ex-Wimbledon finalist recently sent tennis fans into a frenzy as she returned to SW19 as part of the BBC's punditry team.
Glamorous photos on Instagram
Bouchard initially made waves as a player at the Championships, going on an iconic run to the Grand Slam final in 2014, aged 20. While she focuses on her next steps in retirement, the Canadian has demonstrated a playful side by posing on a table for a series of glamorous shots.
Posting the photos on Instagram, Bouchard captioned the series: “Waiting for the zoom to start.” Bouchard lay across the table, flaunting her figure in a sophisticated white dress with black polka dots, which set fans' pulses racing.
Fan reactions
One fan said: “Our Goddess.” A second described Bouchard as “flawless”. A third account replied: “She means business.” A fourth added: “So angelic.” A fifth Instagram user said: “You are so beautiful.” A sixth posted: “So pretty and stunning.” Meanwhile, another fan joked: “A zoom meeting and no sweat pants. Colour me impressed.”
Upcoming US Open role
Following her time with the BBC at Wimbledon, Bouchard is set to work for a different broadcaster during the US Open. She has been announced as part of ESPN's broadcast team for the Flushing Meadows major, where Bouchard twice reached the fourth round.
It has already been a busy summer for the former Wimbledon finalist. After leaving the Championships last month, Bouchard jetted off for a lavish break in Lake Como. Fans were blown away by the gorgeous tennis icon's bikini snaps from her time in Italy. Sharing an insight into her holiday on social media, Bouchard captioned the photos: “Never say no to Como.”
On her career and retirement
Discussing the attention she receives away from the tennis court, Bouchard told YouTuber Valeria Lipovetsky in 2024: "Tennis, first of all, is a great sport for that sex appeal side. We're wearing short skirts, we're wearing tank tops. It's fun to turn on the TV and watch that."
"Right away, I was able to get great marketing deals off the court. Being asked to be in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition a few times. Exploring that path was definitely on my to-do list. It's definitely part of who I am because I think it's great."
The former world No.5 was a breakout star more than a decade ago, reaching the 2014 Wimbledon final and two other major semi-finals that year. Despite retiring from tennis in 2025, she remains a pickleball player and is currently ranked No.62 on the PPA Tour.
