Thomas Tuchel's England ended the international break with a 3-0 win over Czechia, their third victory in four matches. Harry Kane scored twice and was involved in all three goals on a night when he equalled Peter Shilton's record for the most caps in England men's history.
England's breakthrough and Kane's double
After a slow start, England took the lead in fortunate fashion when Vladimir Coufal turned into his own net. The former West Ham defender mistimed his clearance and could only watch as the ball crossed the line.
Before the break, Elliot Anderson's sweeping pass found Morgan Rogers, whose first-time cross located Kane in the penalty area. The Bayern Munich striker then hit the bar before converting his second of the night and England's third.
Player ratings from the 3-0 victory
Jordan Pickford - 6
Had little to do from a shot-saving perspective, but his passing was crisp.
Trent Alexander-Arnold - 7
Showed his dead-ball ability, with no other player in the squad matching his set-piece quality.
Jarell Quansah - 7
Deployed as a centre-back and looked as comfortable as he has at right-back.
Marc Guehi - 7
After a shaky start to the break with an early mistake against Spain, the Manchester City defender was cool, calm and composed.
Lewis Hall - 7
The Newcastle player has taken his opportunity with both hands, raising questions over his World Cup omission.
Elliot Anderson - 8
Missed a sitter at 1-0 but made amends with a sumptuous crossfield pass for the second goal. Was everywhere before being substituted around the hour mark.
Myles Lewis-Skelly - 8
A silly booking rules him out of the next Nations League match, but he was otherwise splendid in midfield.
Jude Bellingham - 7
Not as impressive as his performance against Croatia, but the Real Madrid star still impressed with tidy touches.
Morgan Rogers - 8
The Chelsea forward dazzled off the right-hand side and produced one of the assists of the season for Kane's first goal.
Harry Kane - 9
Had a say in all three goals and equalled Peter Shilton's record for the most caps in England men's history.
Eberechi Eze - 6
The least impactful of England's starting attackers, with competition for places in attack fierce.
Substitutes
Rio Ngumoha - 6
Another example of England's depth in forward areas. Didn't do much but gained valuable experience.
James Garner - 6
Tidy on the ball.
Jarrad Branthwaite - 6
Morgan Gibbs-White - 6
Dominic Calvert-Lewin - N/A
The result all but secures England's place in the Nations League knockouts, capping a successful international break under Tuchel.
