EastEnders star Danny Walters has announced his engagement to long-term girlfriend Maddi Faircloth. The actor, 33, who played Keanu Taylor on the BBC soap, proposed during a romantic beach moment and shared the news on social media.

Walters posted a photo of the couple on the beach, writing: "Guess you’re stuck with me now" and thanked the hotel team "for making this a special night to remember".
His former EastEnders co-stars were quick to congratulate him. Aaron Thiara, who plays Ravi Gulati, commented: "Beaming for you both brother." Danielle Harold, who won an NTA for her role as Lola Pearce, wrote: "Ahhh so beautiful congratulations to you both." Shona McGarty and Mazz Murray also left heart emojis.
EastEnders storyline and family news
During his EastEnders stint from 2017 to 2024, Walters was involved in major storylines, including an affair with Sharon Watts and his character's death in The Six whodunnit, where Linda Carter stabbed him with a meat thermometer.
In March 2025, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Autumn. Walters shared a picture of her hand with the caption: "One month with you, Autumn. Born March '25 (sic)".
Before EastEnders, Walters starred in ITV sitcom Benidorm from 2014 to 2017 as Tiger Dyke, and appeared in episodes of Our World War and Call The Midwife. Faircloth appeared on the reality series Shipmates in 2018.
