Dua Lipa has spoken out about her “magical” wedding day with Callum Turner. The pop star, 31, married the Fantastic Beasts actor, 36, in a ceremony in Palermo, Sicily, in June.
In a new interview, the singer revealed that despite receiving a huge amount of advice from others, the couple decided to follow just two “suggestions” to get them through the day.
The two suggestions that shaped the day
Dua said: “Our wedding day was magical. We received so much advice, but we decided to follow just two suggestions: to experience the day as though we were guests ourselves, and to keep finding each other throughout the crowd, never losing sight of one another. That way, we created so many memories together.”
For the Italian ceremony, Dua wore an ivory gown from Chanel, while Callum wore a Louis Vuitton suit.
Balancing work and family
Speaking to Vogue Italia as she stars on the cover of their September issue, Dua said: “I'm very good at finding a balance between work, hobbies, and family.”
She added: “I've never put my ambition aside, and I'm fortunate to be with someone who loves working as much as I do. We understand and support each other.”
From engagement to wedding
Callum proposed to the New Rules singer in December 2024, just under a year after the couple started dating. Dua confirmed the news during an interview with British Vogue in June last year.
The couple were in no hurry to organise their wedding as Dua was in the middle of her 81-date Radical Optimism Tour, which grossed over £100 million.
At the time, she explained: “I want to finish my tour, Callum's shooting [a movie], so we're just enjoying this period... I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I'm like: 'Oh, what would I wear?'”
