The Countryfile Ramble for BBC Children in Need is returning for its 12th consecutive year, with presenters urging audiences to support the fundraising campaign. The special episode will air on BBC One on Sunday, October 25, featuring Matt Baker, Anita Rani, Margherita Taylor, Joe Crowley, and John Craven walking alongside five young people who have benefited from Children in Need-funded initiatives.
Peak District Walk with Inspirational Youngsters
The presenters will don their hiking boots for a walking challenge in the Peak District, accompanied by five inspirational young people. A synopsis for the episode teases: "As they walk through the stunning Peak District, the young people will share their own inspirational stories and the challenges they have faced, showing how support from BBC Children in Need can help children and young people overcome obstacles, build confidence and look towards a brighter future."
The announcement came during Sunday's episode of Countryfile on September 6. "It's getting to that time of year again," John said. He continued: "BBC Children in Need wants to be by the side of every child who needs them most. Someone to listen, someone to support, and someone to stand alongside."
Presenters Paired with Young People
Matt Baker, Anita Rani, Margherita Taylor, and Joe Crowley will visit the Hollowford Centre in the Peak District, where they will take part in activities with young people and learn how BBC Children in Need funding has transformed their lives. Matt will walk with Jay and Aine, who benefit from the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice sibling support group. Joe will be joined by Tadiwa, who has received assistance from the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
Anita will be paired with Grace, supported by Seashell Trust's CADS holiday programme, while Margherita will trek alongside Bethan, who receives help from Team Jak, the Scottish children's cancer charity. John will join Pudsey Bear to speak with family members and representatives from the Lindley Educational Trust, exploring how the funding creates change through youth work.
Over £17.4 Million Raised Since 2015
John commented: "What I love most about Countryfile Ramble is meeting remarkable children and young people and hearing their stories. This year, we'll be shining a light on the incredible impact that support can have, and how having somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to can make a difference."

Since launching in 2015, the Countryfile Ramble has raised over £17.4 million for BBC Children in Need. The 2026 edition will air on BBC One and iPlayer on Sunday, October 25.
