Coronation Street Fans Convinced They Know Theo Silverton's Real Killer
Corrie Fans Think They Know Theo Silverton's True Killer

Coronation Street fans are convinced they know who killed Theo Silverton, with many believing that the flashback scene placing Gary Windass at the scene of the murder is nothing more than a red herring.

The Ongoing Whodunnit

The 'whodunnit' is ongoing in the ITV soap following the demise of the abuser back in April. As viewers know, Theo's lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain, months after it was teased that he could be one of five villains murdered in the dramatic storyline.

Flash-forward scenes aired in February transported viewers to April, where Betsy was being interviewed by police after discovering the dead body of someone she knew on the night of her mum, Lisa Swain's, wedding to Carla Connor.

Potential Victims and Suspects

At the time, it was then revealed that Theo, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh and Maggie Driscoll were the potential victims, with the week following showing how their behaviours could lead to them being in mortal peril. It wasn't until a week after the wedding actually took place on April 23, and aired on-screen, that Betsy was seen discovering Theo dead, following a week of dramatic episodes which left all five of the possible victims in mortal peril.

A 'whodunnit' is now underway, and Corrie previously confirmed Todd Grimshaw, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass and Danielle Silverton as the six potential suspects.

Recent Developments

It was during Wednesday's (June 10) visit to Weatherfield that after being charged with Theo's murder, it was confirmed that Summer would be released as Tyrone Dobbs changed his statement and gave her an alibi, after previously lying about seeing her on the night of Theo's murder to cover his role in Carl Webster's hospitalisation.

It has left DC Kit Green determined to prove Gary was the one to see Theo off, with Corrie fans aware that he is hiding something alongside his former flame, Sarah Platt, who is now Kit's girlfriend.

In the latest visit to Weatherfield, Maria started to worry that Gary and Sarah were having an affair. Later, in the Rovers, Gary felt awkward as Tyrone, Todd Grimshaw and DC Kit Green started discussing Theo's death. As Gary left, Kit followed him out onto the street and made it clear that Gary was still his number one suspect.

Gary told Kit he needed to 'prove it', but as he walked away, it was clear Gary was concerned. A flashback to the night of Theo's murder showed Gary at the top of the scaffolding while holding a mallet. He could be seen staring down at Theo's lifeless body on the floor, which is where he was later found by Betsy.

Fan Theories

But Corrie fans think it's 'too obvious' for Gary to be the one who saw Theo off, but they think they may know who it was instead. @smiler2802 said: "I'm still convinced it was Myles that killed Theo. Gary heard some sort of row coming from the flat and thought Theo was attacking Todd, so grabbed a sledgehammer from his yard and headed up, by which time Myles had already killed Theo and legged it. Myles runs into Danielle, who we now know was in the area, and fessed up, so she's covering for him. Gary is bricking it because he knows how suss it will look on him and has confided in Sarah."

@jyrw7_ commented: "Still convinced it was Theo's wife." @laurieinqueens replied: "or his son." suzannedavies969 posted: "I still think it was Theo's son and the mum is coming around trying to find out what's the word on street see if anyone mentions seeing the son." @TheConnorSwains added: "Gary and Sarah both clearly believe Gary killed Theo. I'm guessing Gary and Theo probably fought on the night he died. But Theo was killed by someone else… and I'm still convinced it was Miles. #Corrie."
