Coronation Street spoilers: Gary exit 'sealed', Debbie concern, Idris targets Nick

Coronation Street spoilers for next week reveal Sarah Platt's trial arrives, Gary Windass fears for his future, and Idris Nazir clashes with Nick Tilsley amid sabotage.

Sarah's Trial and Kit's Secret

The investigation into the shooting at the Platts' house takes a turn as detective Lisa Swain wants to ask follow-up questions about statements. Sarah Platt asks her ex Kit Green to act as a character reference for her in court, but he refuses. Sarah's daughter Bethany confronts him, and Kit finally admits he has cancer and is undergoing treatment.

Kit prepares for his first chemotherapy session. Brody arrives to see him, and Kit asks his son to shave his head for him. As he begins treatment at the hospital, he is supported by his family. Later, Brody tells Kit he needs him more than ever and asks him to keep fighting. Bethany tells Kit he needs to come clean to Sarah about his cancer before her trial.

Courtroom Drama

At the prison, when Sarah admits she understands why Kit doesn't want to help her, Todd blurts out that the real reason is because Kit has cancer. Bethany begs Sarah to let Gary take the blame for Theo's murder because she and Kit need him more than ever. Sarah awaits her fate as she heads to court, where she is accused of killing Theo on purpose. As Lisa and Danielle also take to the stand, things take a turn for Sarah.

David accuses Lisa of sabotaging Sarah's evidence before turning his attentions to Kit and tearing strips off him. Soon Todd takes the stand and defends Sarah. Gary is also questioned before Kit is pressured to do the right thing, but will he take the stand and what will he say?

Idris and Nick Clash

Elsewhere next week, Tracy Barlow accuses Leanne and Idris of giving her food poisoning at Speed Daal. Ollie conducts a full inspection in the kitchen and realises the meat they served was past its sell-by date. With Nick responsible for that delivery, suspicions of sabotage mount. Tracy wants compensation, and Idris reckons Nick needs to pay for his mistakes. As Leanne and Idris confront Nick, there's some slating on social media.

As Nick faces terrible online reviews, he receives more cancellations at the Bistro. Leanne urges Nick to throw in the towel and sell the Bistro. Toyah confronts her and accuses Leanne and Idris of sabotage.

Debbie's Concerns and Gary's Fears

Also next week, there's more concern for Debbie. When Ronnie seeks support, he offends Debbie by repeatedly checking in on her. Ronnie is told he should join the local dementia support group, but later Debbie fears the worst and is convinced Ronnie is seeing someone else. When he's seen speaking with another woman, Ronnie is forced to explain that it's someone from the support group.

Elsewhere, Gary takes a call, finding out Jake has been suspended from school for fighting. Prior to this, Gary tells Maria he's been given a date for his hearing and he fears he might be sent to prison. When Jake goes missing, it's revealed he's staying with his mum, Izzy. He doesn't want to stay with his dad anymore, leaving Gary shocked. Maria reassures Gary that Sarah won't let him down and he won't be sent to prison. Gary hopes she's right, but will Sarah do what Bethany says and allow Gary to take the wrap?

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
