A body language expert has weighed in on the fate of Love Is Blind UK couple Jack Bradshaw, 30, and Faye Domaille, 28, suggesting a key clue indicates they are likely still happily married today.
The pair tied the knot during series three of the Netflix reality dating show, alongside three other couples: Francesca and Joseph, Ciara and Ajay, and Sophie and Taylor. The programme sees 30 single men and women go on blind dates in individual pods, where they can only hear each other's voices. A proposal can only be made after a strong connection is formed, and the pair meet in person only after the offer is accepted.
Conflict resolution clue
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror's Screen Time team via Mecca Bingo, body language and communications expert Dr Beth Dawson pointed to how well the couple can patch things up after a conflict, which she described as essential for a strong relationship.
She began: "The healthiest-looking relationship isn't necessarily the one with the least conflict. Sometimes it's the one where we can see what happens after conflict."
Jack's disappearance analysed
Addressing a now infamous moment on the show in which Jack disappeared, Beth continued: "Jack disappears for several hours after Faye's birthday and Faye is understandably distressed. Initially their repair is poor, as Jack becomes defensive and accuses her of not trusting him.
"This is a good example of what doesn’t help repair after conflict and that is defensiveness. However later Jack acknowledges that what he did was selfish, explains what was happening for him emotionally and recognises that he should have communicated better."
Reunion special ahead
She added: "Faye does something important too. She doesn't ask Jack to have experienced the event exactly as she did. She accepts his explanation while still maintaining that the behaviour wasn't acceptable. This example shows us that this is a couple that can repair after conflict, even after poor communication initially."
Whether their conflict resolution skills have been enough to keep them in marital bliss since tying the knot will be revealed during the highly-anticipated reunion special, which airs on August 30. Love Is Blind UK season three is now streaming on Netflix.
