An American man visiting the UK tried Marks & Spencer's Percy Pigs for the first time, buying several bags of the sweets to taste-test three different variations. Elliott Norris, who affectionately referred to the sweet as "Percy the Pig," rated the original version 8.5/10 and the other two varieties 9/10 each.
First taste of the classic Percy Pigs
Elliott found the "classic one" and tried those first. "I overheard some British girls talking, and I think this is the original," he explained, as he picked one out to try. He described them as "really cute" as he held them up to the camera, saying: "I love a cute little pig."
As he tried one, he said "mmmm," describing the taste as "kinda floral." He pointed out that the pigs come with different coloured ears for a slightly different flavour sensation, but said they were "really good." "I've never tasted a candy that has this flavour. It's a little bit floral, quite refreshing, quite light, and very classy I will say," he gushed.
Elliott continued: "It's a good gummy that meets like a taffy, I would say, but it's more of a gummy and a chewy. Really good texture. It's giving this kinda like rubbery vibe, but really good. And surprisingly, not too sweet." He decided to rate the Original Percy Pigs 8.5/10.
Trying Percy Pig and Pals
Percy Pig and Pals introduces two new characters and two new flavours – a cola-flavoured cow and an orange-flavoured sheep. Elliott tried the cow sweet and said it was a "little softer" and then got excited by the cola flavour, which he claimed was "delicious, very strong, scrumptious."
Then he tried the sheep, which wasn't his favourite, but it was still "kinda nice." Elliott preferred these to the original and said he "loves" them, rating the treats a 9/10.
Percy Pig Squidgy Snouts verdict
The M&S website describes this sweet as "fruity foam sweets made with real fruit juice and a brand-new soft jelly texture. Shaped like Percy's snout and perfectly squidgy." Elliott said these were "really good" with amazing flavours. "These are also great, I'm gonna give these 9/10," he gushed.

Commenters shared their own enthusiasm for the sweets. One wrote: "Every food shop in M&S results in the mandatory Percy Pigs! They're definitely a must-have! I took some to the family in the Netherlands, and they loved them!"
Another said: "When I fly from Gatwick, the first thing is to stop off at M&S at the entrance of the South Terminal for Percy Pigs and a beef and onion bread roll. The Phizzy Pig Tails are superb - so fizzy it feels like they're taking the enamel off my teeth."
A third suggested: "The veggie ones are the best; however, you need to put them in the freezer... the jelly ears taste so much better. You'll never eat them straight out of the bag again."
