Alison Hammond has offered glimpses into her life off screen, including her luxury London home, her impressive 11-stone weight loss and her relationship with model and massage therapist David Putman, 29.
Luxury home in London
The 51-year-old presenter, known for This Morning and The Great British Bake Off, moved to London two years ago, swapping her beloved Birmingham for the capital after finding a luxury property there.
Alison, who has a 21-year-old son named Aiden, has kept most of her new residence private but shared a photograph of her expansive, landscaped green garden with a patio on Instagram. She wrote: "Feeling very emotional knowing that without all your support and love I wouldn't be looking at this view. This is my new garden I would draw as a child but never dreamed it would be a reality. Thank you."
She sold her Solihull property in 2024. A source from Smart Homes told Mail Online at the time: "[The house] nearly sold three times but never completed because of vendors' chains falling through. It has finally completed just shy of the new asking price of £700,000 and is now off the market. The celebrity owner is delighted."
Impressive weight loss
Alison has been open about her weight, having reached 28 stone before shedding 11 stone. She wanted to change her lifestyle for medical reasons and focuses on eating "everything in moderation". Her mother, Maria, who had type 2 diabetes, was worried about her health, especially when Alison learned she was pre-diabetic.
She now starts her morning with a ginger shot before having sausages, eggs and bacon with her son. Alison also recruited personal trainer Ellis Gatfield five years ago, who developed a fitness programme focusing on resistance training rather than long cardio sessions.
Ellis told Women's Health that Alison typically does a 30-minute resistance circuit on Mondays and a 30-minute boxing session on Tuesdays. Wednesdays are rest days or gentle walks, Thursdays include a 30-minute kettlebell circuit, and Fridays feature another 30-minute boxing session. Weekends are rest days, possibly with a gentle walk.
Alison has spoken about not using weight-loss injections, telling Good Housekeeping UK: "I think that, for people who need to use them, they're a good thing - but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened. So I haven't wanted to use them, but that's not to say I wouldn't in the future, and I certainly wouldn't look down on anyone who did."
Relationship with David Putman
Alison has been in a relationship with David Putman, 29, since 2023, though she keeps her romantic life mostly private. Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: "I've always had issues with my boyfriends, this one I don't. We get on really well. We love each other. I never have to worry and second guess how he feels about me. He's wonderful."
She added that they enjoy "lovely holidays" where they are "kissing a lot" and that she receives "a lot of massages" from David's "healing hands". The pair met when Alison booked David for a massage, and an instant connection formed.
Addressing their 22-year age difference in Good Housekeeping, she said: "I can see how on paper you'd notice the age difference. Yes, I am 22 years older than he is. But if you saw us together, you'd understand. People have said to me, 'We get it now.'"
Before this relationship, Alison was engaged to Noureddine Boufaied, with whom she shares her son, but the engagement ended in 2014.
