Adam Thomas has been flooded with praise after sharing a video of his body transformation, made after vowing to his children to lead a healthier lifestyle. The Manchester-born Waterloo Road star has faced health struggles in recent years, including a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and later psoriatic arthritis.
Health Struggles and Diagnosis
Adam, 34 at the time, revealed his rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis ahead of his participation in Strictly Come Dancing in 2023. He shared how his symptoms began in his knees before spreading to his wrists, fingers, ankles, and toes. After several blood tests and doctor visits, his diagnosis was later changed to psoriatic arthritis, a long-term condition causing joint pain, swelling, and stiffness, according to the NHS.
Transformation Journey
The former Emmerdale star has been documenting his health ups and downs on Instagram. Recently, he posted a photo with his son Teddy, flexing their muscles after making significant lifestyle changes. In a new video, Adam is seen working out at home with his son joining him. At the end of the clip, they pose and flex together. Adam captioned the post: "I don't just want to tell them that hard work pays off... I want to show them. Morning routines with my boy never felt so good! X front cover of @mensfitnessuk coming soon!!!! Anything is possible."
