Stephanie Jayne Layfield, born in Waterloo, Liverpool on 29 January 1958, died on 21 June 2026 at St Joseph's Hospice, Thornton, at age 68. Her family expressed deep gratitude for the care she received, noting that staff enjoyed her sense of humour. Donations in her memory are requested for St Joseph's Hospice.

James William Murphy, known as Jim, died peacefully at home on 18th June 2026 at age 87. His funeral service will be at Holy Family Church, Pensby, Wirral on Thursday 9th July at 11.30am, followed by cremation at Landican Crematorium. Donations may be sent to Guide Dogs for the Blind or R.N.L.I.

Edward Geoffrey Newns, known as Geoff, died peacefully on 15th June 2026 in his 86th year after a battle with dementia. A keen gardener and singer, his service will be at Christ Church, Higher Bebington on Friday 10th July at 12.30pm. Donations can be made to Alzheimer's Society.

Joseph Nicholas, aged 77, passed away as a beloved husband and father. His Requiem Mass will be at Our Lady of the Annunciation Bishop Eton on Wednesday 15th July at 12pm, followed by burial at Allerton Cemetery.

Susan Pettener died peacefully on Monday 15th June in hospital at age 83. Her funeral will be at St Helens Crematorium on Tuesday 7th July at 2.30pm. Family flowers only, with donations to Age UK.

Margery Pickup, much-loved mum and grandma, died on 25th June 2026 aged 81. Her funeral will be at 2pm on Wednesday 22nd July at Elm Hall Drive Methodist Church. Donations are welcome for Marie Curie.

Patricia Ann Randles, aged 72, was reunited with her husband John and son Karl. A Requiem Mass will be at St Alberts RC Church on Tuesday 7th July at 11:30am, followed by interment at Knowsley Cemetery.

Sylvia Roberts, nee Skelhorn, died peacefully on 19th June 2026 at age 84. Her service and cremation will be at Springwood Crematorium on Friday 10th July at 12 noon. Donations can be made to Alder Hey Hospital.

Margaret Smith, formerly from Childwall, passed away peacefully in hospital on 14th June 2026 at age 87. Funeral arrangements are with R Banks and Son Funerals.

Pauline Ada Somerville, also known as Westoby, passed away peacefully on 22nd June 2026. Her daughter expressed heartbreak and love in the tribute.
