King Charles is set to launch an adorable collection inspired by his eldest granddaughter, Princess Charlotte, this summer. The 11-year-old, who stepped out in London for the annual Trooping the Colour celebrations yesterday, is said to be a huge fan of Jellycats. Using his granddaughter's love for plush toys, the King will release his own collection inspired by Charlotte.
The items, which include a cucumber sandwich and a Victoria sponge, will complete the Tea at the Palace collection, which will be on sale in the Garden Shop at Buckingham Palace this summer. The collection will also be available to purchase on the Royal Collection Trust website.
According to their mother, Catherine, Princess of Wales, Charlotte and her brothers have a collection of Jellycats at their home in Windsor. During a Garden Party appearance last year, the Prince and Princess of Wales were gifted two Jellycats. William said: "My children will love these. They are children's currency."
King Charles led his family at the annual Trooping the Colour yesterday, which is known to be one of the biggest events in the royal calendar. Trooping the Colour marks the monarch's official birthday and takes place every June. After the procession, which saw Catherine riding with her three children in a carriage along The Mall, the family joined together on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF Flypast.
All three of the children have stepped out for the historic event on numerous occasions. King Charles is known to share a close bond with his grandchildren, especially Charlotte.
