Conflict and Natural Beauty

In Jabaliya, Gaza, Palestinian schoolchildren were ushered away from the site of an Israeli drone strike that reportedly killed one person. Despite a US-backed ceasefire that took effect in October 2025, violence has not halted in the strip, with Israel continuing to target Palestinians it says are militants. An injured Palestinian woman was also carried away from the site.

In Muğla, Turkey, an aerial view showed the winding waterways, reed beds and wetlands of the Dalyan delta, where boat tours take visitors toward İztuzu beach in the Ortaca district. In Lorient, France, skipper Charles Caudrelier sailed his Ultim multihull Gitana 18, Edmond de Rothschild, during a training session before the Route du Rhum solo sailing race from Saint-Malo to Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe.

Sports, Protests, and Politics

In St Louis, US, goalkeeper Roman Bürki deflected a shot during an MLS soccer match against the Vancouver Whitecaps. In Glasgow, UK, a visitor explored light installations in the Glasshouses at Glasgow Botanic Gardens during a preview of GlasGLOW Zombie Zoo.

In Tirana, Albania, hooded protesters vandalised a bank during clashes as students joined the 'flamingo' anti-government movement. Police sprayed a protester with a water cannon during the clashes. In Dnipro, Ukraine, people stood at the site of a private house destroyed by a Russian airstrike. In Montana, US, President Donald Trump walked toward his vehicle after disembarking Air Force One at Glacier Park international airport, having travelled to speak at a campaign rally.
