Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will soon begin a new life in the UK, with the move set to take place within days. It was revealed on Wednesday that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making a surprise return to the UK later this month.
Archie was born in the UK in 2019 and spent his first year in Britain. His younger sister Lilibet joined the family one year after they relocated to California.
Positive Impact for the Young Royals
Although the move is expected to be an exciting time for the former working royals, it will likely also bring some nerves. However, according to family lawyer Ana Vilhete, the move will largely have a positive effect on Archie and Lilibet.
Vilhete, a frequent contributor to Good Morning Britain, told the Daily Express that there are several reasons why the move will benefit the young royals. Highlighting three reasons, she said: "Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK would be a positive impact for Archie and Lilibet’s future because the UK has world class schools, wonderfully rich and diverse culture and will give [Archie and Lilibet] greater insight into Harry’s world before he moved to the US."
Bonding with British Cousins
Vilhete also noted that the move will hopefully allow Archie and Lilibet to build a bond with Prince William's children: Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and eight-year-old Prince Louis. She added: "They’ll also have the chance to bond with their British cousins."
Harry travelled to the UK last month for work commitments and was later joined by his wife and two children. The Sussexes then travelled to Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, where the King was reunited with his two youngest grandchildren for the first time since 2022.
