Zoe Sugg, the British influencer known as Zoella, has heaped praise on Netflix's animated film 'That Christmas', calling it 'gold' and placing it alongside festive classics such as 'Elf', 'The Holiday', and 'Home Alone'. In a recent Vlogmas video, the 35-year-old told her followers that the 2024 release is 'up there' with her favourite Christmas films.
'That Christmas' is directed by Simon Otto and written by Richard Curtis and Peter Souter. The film intertwines three stories set in a small Suffolk town hit by a massive snowstorm just before Christmas. Characters include new boy Danny Williams, twin sisters Sam and Charlie Beccles, and local Bernadette McNutt, who takes an unconventional approach to the festive season.
Sugg, known for her love of Christmas films, regularly re-watches classics like 'Elf', 'Home Alone', and 'The Holiday'. She asked her audience for recommendations of new festive films, noting that nothing else has grabbed her attention in the same way as 'That Christmas'.
Viewers responded with suggestions including 'Klaus', 'The Holdovers', and 'Oh What Fun' on Prime. One fan described 'Klaus' as 'hands down one of the greatest Christmas movies', while another praised 'The Holdovers' as an instant classic.
