A simple bread recipe using just two ingredients can be ready in minutes, with no kneading or proving required. The recipe, shared by content creator Laura (@cakeontherun), uses self-raising flour and yoghurt to make a mini loaf that can be baked in an air fryer or oven.
Quick and Easy Method
To make the dough, combine six tablespoons of self-raising flour with four tablespoons of yoghurt in a bowl. Flour your hands, shape the dough into a ball, knead it briefly, and then mould it into a loaf or wide sausage shape. The dough should not be too sticky.
For air frying, cook the bread at 200°C for five minutes. Laura noted that air fryers can vary, so if the loaf remains slightly doughy, cook for a few additional minutes. Alternatively, oven-bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
Gluten-Free Option
The recipe can also be adapted to be gluten-free. Laura explained that to produce a gluten-free loaf, use gluten-free bread flour and a third of a teaspoon of xanthan gum.
In response to the recipe, one follower commented, "I have to try it." Another wrote, "Thanks, so simple! Could you recommend cooking it in the microwave, in order to save fuel costs? Cheers."
The mini loaf is best served and enjoyed immediately.
