Blizzard is warning Diablo 4 players that the free trial for the Warlock character class is ending soon. The trial, which launched alongside the Season of Death Awakening, allows players to experience the Warlock without purchasing the Lord of Hatred expansion. However, the offer expires on July 7, 2026, at 6pm BST (10am PT / 1pm ET / 7pm CET).
Free Trial Details and Restrictions
The Warlock class is normally exclusive to owners of the Lord of Hatred expansion. During the trial, players can level the Warlock up to level 30 for free. Progress made during the trial will carry over if players later purchase the expansion. The trial is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Battle.net on PC.
According to Blizzard, the Warlock is a master of forbidden knowledge who bends demons and the powers of Hell to their unbreakable will. Players can cast spells, summon demons with chains and magic, create walls of demons to block the battlefield, or trap enemies in a prison before detonating magic.
Season of Death Awakening Continues
Even if players miss the Warlock trial, the Season of Death Awakening offers new content. Players must defeat the Death Cult by finding Ruptures and destroying monsters within. New rewards and leaderboards via the Tower are also available.
