In a video shared on social media by Shenmue fansite Shenmue Dojo, Binface urged Sega to 'get your bottoms in gear, sort yourselves out, and get the update done,' suggesting the company 'needs to be nationalised along with Adele.'

The video ends with the hashtag #LetsGetShemnue4 and the declaration 'Count Binface has spoken.' It has been posted on X and YouTube by Shenmue Dojo, though not on Binface's own channels. Since the hashtag has existed for several years, it is likely Binface was asked to promote the campaign via his Cameo page. While the endorsement may not sway Sega executives, it could attract support from diehard fans.
Reviving SegaWorld at the Trocadero
Binface also expressed a desire to reboot SegaWorld, saying, 'I'd quite like to reboot SegaWorld in London's Trocadero and have Sonic The Hedgehog back in his prime.' This echoes his 2021 London mayoral manifesto, which called for the Trocadero to be 'turned back into a truly top-notch video arcade.' The SegaWorld arcade opened in 1996 and was a key part of London's arcade scene until declining interest led to its closure in 2011. Binface would not have the power to reinstate it even if elected MP, but his appreciation may win votes.
Future of Shenmue
Series creator Yu Suzuki has pledged to continue the franchise, but fans remain concerned after a nearly two-decade gap between Shenmue 2 and Shenmue 3. Last year, a purported trailer for Shenmue 4 was revealed to be an AI-generated fake. An enhanced re-release of Shenmue 3 is set for modern consoles later this year.
