The highly anticipated Bluey feature film will hit UK cinemas on August 6, 2027, as announced by BBC Studios and Walt Disney Studios in partnership with Ludo Studio.
Written and directed by series creator Joe Brumm, the CG-animated film is produced by Amber Naismith and co-directed by Richard Jeffery. Returning voice talent includes Melanie Zanetti as Mum (Chilli) and David McCormack as Dad (Bandit).
BBC Studios is financing and licensing the picture, with theatrical distribution handled by Walt Disney Studios. The project has received support from the Australian government through the Producer Offset and Screen Australia, as well as from the Queensland Government via Screen Queensland's Post, Digital and Visual Effects Incentive.
Bluey is currently the most-watched series globally on Disney+ in 2024 and the most-streamed show in the US for both the first half of 2025 and the entirety of 2024, according to Nielsen. In the UK, it is the number one kids' show on CBeebies and Disney+.
